New BMW 5 Series launched in India

The new BMW 5 Series has been finally launched exclusive at the BMW pavilion. It has been specially constructed for the launch in India for the new BMW 5 Series which is available in two variants i.e. petrol 535i and 523i another is two diesel variants i.e. 530d and 525d and can be ordered at BMW dealerships across India.

BMW replaces Toyota as most valuable global car brand

BMW AG has overtaken Toyota Motor Corp. as the world’s most valuable automotive brand, an annual ranking of the world’s top brands showed.

Ford Motor Co. and Volkswagen AG improved their brand value, according to BrandZ Top 100, a survey compiled by the market research company Millward Brown.

Peter Walshe, Millward Brown global brand director, said he believes Toyota will bounce back after the automaker’s massive recall campaign started to hit its brand value toward the end of 2009.

Embarassment For Porsche, Recalls Panamera

Maruti Suzuki To Introduce Cervo By June For Indian Market

With the phasing-out of Maruti 800, Maruti Suzuki has not any model to compete with Tata Nano. So Maruti Suzuki is looking to launch a replacement for Maruti 800 in the Indian market. It can be as early as June 2010 when it launches its latest small car model Maruti Cervo. The car has been already introduced in Japan by Suzuki where it is quite successful.

Mercedes Rejects News of A-Class Model Launch for India

Mercedes Benz will not introduce its A-Class model for Indian market, said official spokespersons for the company. The spokesperson has officially stated that Mercedes is not thinking about introducing its small car premium model for the Indian market.

Nissan Micra will be on Indian roads soon

You will drive Nissan Micra on Indian roads soon. Nissan Motors has already sent a test consignment of six Nissan Micra to Spain. It is the same model for Indian roads. Nissan Motors is looking to make India as exports hub for small cars of the company. 100 countries including Middle East, Africa and European nations will get Nissan’s small car exported from India.

Maruti Suzuki’s models to be sold under the Volkswagen brand.

Europe’s one of the largest car maker, Volkswagen has been showing keen interest for it’s Indian operations to send proposals on Maruti Suzuki’s models which could be sold under the VW brand. This has been facilitated by the fact that Volkswagen owns a 20 percent stake in Suzuki Motor, which inturn owns a majority stake in Maruti.

Mahindra to take over Korean based Ssangyong Motor Co

Mahindra & Mahindra Company, one of the India’s largest SUV maker ever, has been showing it’s keen interest in purchasing a South Korean based company named as Ssangyong Motor Co, reported a South Korean newspaper on 26th April 2010. As per the news reports in the Korea Economic Daily, the Mahindra Group recently has sent a letter to Ssangyong stating that the company wants to acquire management rights in the firm.
