Bollywood’s new hot face Ranbir Kapoor is the Nissan’s new face. Nissan appoint Ranbir Kapoor as the company’s official brand ambassador. Ranbir interact with media for the launch of Nissan’s new Micra hatchback. Ranbir has been signed for a three-year contract and will endorse the products and services of Nissan in India through promotion, advertising and marketing. Nissan’s new Micra hatchback goes on sale by the middle of July 2010.
“I am an actor and have to concentrate on it. When a brand comes and thinks that I am responsible enough, and have some capability to sell their product, I am more than happy to do it. Of course, they pay well,”said Ranbir kapoor.
“Ranbir Kapoor is an extremely passionate, versatile and talented film star and he has shown his pedigree in a very short period. We believe Ranbir with his uber cool charm and mass appeal brings in a perfect connect with our brand,” said Kiminobu Tokuyama, managing director and CEO, NMIPL.
Being a new carmaker in the India Nissan is hoping Ranbir’s charm will make their entry easier. The Micra hatchback is Nissan’s first locally produced car in India which will join other imported models like the Teana and X-Trail. Bookings for the Micra are already open and the car is on display at select dealerships across metros.
