As movies have larger audiences all over the world Car makers have always looked for Hollywood for showing their latest cars to the international world. This trend of introducing new models in popular movies is quickly catching up in Indian subcontinent too where Bollywood movies are a bigger than Hollywood. It gives car makers a good platform to show their models in India and its neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
First it was Volvo which introduced its latest SUV model XC90 in the movie “3 Idiots” starring Aamir Khan. “We are delighted to be a part of a big banner Bollywood movie. Bollywood is a cult in India,” Paul De Voijs, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India had commented when asked about introducing the car in the Indian market.
Now Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan in his upcoming movie “Ra. One” will be driving the world’s fastest car Bugatti Veyron. It is believed that special driving sessions have been arranged by the Producers for the superstar to drive the car in its upcoming movie which also stars Kareena Kapoor. The special technical team responsible for the arrangement has also worked in the Hollywood movie “The Pirates of the Carribean.” Ra.One is acronym for ‘Random Access Version One’ which is based on futuristic concept and Shah Rukh Khan will be using the car to perform the stunts in the movie.
