Tata Motor is now eyeing to tap the diesel segment with its low-cost car Tata Nano Diesel Version.“The sky is the limit for a car that is priced under Rs 2 lakh and the task on hand is to ensure that every nook and corner of the country is covered to reach out to the Nano buyer,” say industry sources. Other than Diesel Nano, Tata bring its electric Indica and Ace EV in Indian market. Tata Nano diesel expected to launch in November 2010.
Bajaj Ready To Launch A Low Cost Car

As per the statement from PM Telang, MD, Tata Motors (India Operations), the company needs to improve its cars in terms of fits, finish, noise and vibration and design elements. It feels that its British counterpart can help develop such cars.
