The world’s cheapest car Tata Nano soon to come with Diesel engine. Tata Motor is now eyeing to tap the diesel segment with its low-cost car Tata Nano Diesel Version.“The sky is the limit for a car that is priced under Rs 2 lakh and the task on hand is to ensure that every nook and corner of the country is covered to reach out to the Nano buyer,” say industry sources. Other than Diesel Nano, Tata bring its electric Indica and Ace EV in Indian market. Tata Nano diesel expected to launch in November 2010.

At this movement Tata sell nearly 9000 units monthly of the Nano and company planing to incresed the capacity of 500,000 units annually by 2014 which means Tata Motors will be producing 40,000 units monthly beating Maruti Alto that is currently being produced 25,000 units every month.
