The wait just got longer for Fiat Linea T-Jet. The Italian car maker will launch this all new car model next month in India. The more powerful Linea will get 118bhp from a Turbocharged 1400cc petrol engine. As with all engines featuring turbocharging, the Linea will have masses of low end torque making city driving a breeze.
Fiat Linea T-Jet At Delhi Auto Expo Earlier This Year
According to company’s sources, the launch could just happen on October 8. The Fiat Linea T-Jet has been caught testing near Pune and earlier at the Auto Expo this year, Fiat showcased it as part of their convoy.
Fiat’s Linea T-Jet, according to our sources, has been tested thoroughly in India to suit our roads, fuel quality and traffic conditions. The car is really powerful machine. The vehicle will have the turbocharged 1.4-liter petrol engine that can be tuned to give either 120PS or 152PS. But, we’re expecting Fiat to tune it to around 120hp as fuel economy is very much a concern for a 10 lakh rupee sedan buyer.
The Fiat claims that their transmission provides 10 percent better mileage than traditional auto Gearboxes. The interior of the car is also attractive.
The active features of the car provide safety to the occupants, including Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake force Distribution, reverse parking sensors, Rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, Hill Holder function, power door locks etc. It comes with various colors like, Tecno Grey, Rockabilly Black, Lullaby Blue, Flamenco Red etc.
