As announced earlier, German car-maker BMW launched its luxurious 2011SUV X5 in newer avatar today at Gurgaon, India. The models will be available in two variants which are BMW X5 xDrive 50i with petrol engine and BMW X5 xDrive30d with diesel engine. The xDrive50i is costlier among the two with price tag of Rs 69.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), compare to Rs 52.99 lakh for the xDrive30d.
New 2011 BMW X5 will come with a new, more powerful engine and an appreciably updated look. They have changed its cosmetic looks just lightly such as a front new bumper. There are more than 4000 new parts have been formed by engineers and designers of the company. The two models will come to India as completely build units.
The BMW X5 xDrive50i is powered by a petrol engine that produces a top power of 407 bhp and belts out 600 Nm at 1750-4500 rpm while the diesel variant pumps out a max power of 245 bhp and generates a top torque of 540 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm.
