A tough day for Red Bull Racing saw both drivers forced to retire from the rain-delayed Korean Grand Prix. Mark Webber’s race ended during the 19th lap, when he slid, then hit the barrier while in second place. His team-mate Sebastian Vettel had been leading the pack when engine problems forced him to retire with nine laps to go.
Mark Webber has admitted the mistake which took him out of the Korean Grand Prix whilst running second on Sunday afternoon. On a slippery track, the Australian took too much kerb at Turn 12 before contacting with the outside retaining wall before behind hit by the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg, which also retired.

Upon starting the 46th lap of 55 at Yeongam, Vettel led Fernando Alonso after starting from pole although the German was helpless as his Renault engine expired. “You know it’s obviously not a very nice moment but it was a very, very tricky race,” he explained to BBC Sport. “To be on top of the field all the time, controlling the race – I think there’s nothing we could have done better in the tricky conditions.”
