General Motors India reporting that the confirmation of 800cc Spark launch in India. The new 800cc engine Spark will launch by the end of next year. The new small car will compete with Tata Nano, Maruti 800 and Alto. Powered by a 795cc SOHC 3-cylinder gasoline engine which produce 51hp of power and 68.6Nm of torque. The new 800cc spark have 6 valve motor which gives highly fuel efficiency (22kmpl).
GM to launch 800cc Spark in India
“We have a small-engine Spark available in the overseas market and are looking to bring it to India in the next 24 months,” Karl Slym, president, General Motors India, said.
GM sell 800cc spark with name of Spark Lite in South Africa with price tag of $5200. Also the car is very environment friendly too (121g/km CO2 emissions).
