Though it is facing some tough time relating to Nano sales, one of India’s largest auto maker has done in the global automobile market. British luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover has done well to grow its sales by 6% in the month of November 2010 compare to the same period last year. The April-November 2010 sales figure was up by 30% in comparison to the last year.
“While the group global sales were 79,959, cumulative sales for the financial year were 678,598,” the spokesperson said. “Global sales of all commercial vehicles – Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range – were 40,244 in November 2010, a growth of 21 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 314,567, a growth of 29 per cent,” he added.
Global sales of all passenger vehicles were 39,715 in November 2010, lower by six per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 364,031, a growth of 32 per cent. Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover in November 2010 were 22,957, higher by 22 per cent. Jaguar sales for the month were 5,621, higher by 30 per cent, while Land Rover sales were 17,336, higher by 20 per cent.
“Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 154,089, higher by 33 per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar were 38,620, higher by 22 per cent, while cumulative sales of Land Rover were 115,469, higher by 37 per cent,” the spokesperson said.
Global sales of Tata passenger vehicles and the distribution offtake in India of Fiat cars for the fiscal saw a dip of 29 per cent at 16,758. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 209,942, up 31 per cent.
