Earlie this month German auto major, BMW, announced its intentions to be No. 1 in luxury car segment in India for third year in row. The company took one step further to achieve that goal, by launching BMW 6 Series Convertible on Friday at the city of palaces, Udaipur. The new BMW 6-Series 650i Convertible is imported as Completely Built Unit (CBU) and is priced at Rs. 95 lakh (ex-showroom).

The car comes with an eight-speed sports automatic transmission and a 4.4-litre V8 engine with ‘TwinPower Turbo Technology’, delivering 407 hp. BMW 650i Convertible accelerates to 100 kmph in just five seconds with a top speed of 250 km/hr. It also features Drive Dynamic Control, which allows drivers to vary the car’s sporting characteristics and comfort by choosing the desired suspension settings (Normal, Sports and Sports+).

The 6 Series convertible has a fully automatic roof that opens or closes at the touch of a button within 19 seconds at speeds of up to 40 km/hr. With the roof closed, the 650i still offers adequate headroom as it is a genuine 2+2 seater.
