We reported last year that one of India’s oldest automobile company, Hindustan Motors‘ plans to launch revamped Ambassador in the market. But, we did not expect the launch would be so quite. Yeah, that’s right! Hindustan Motors has launched the upgraded 2011 Ambassador Grand without any fanfare. The company has integrated new version with a bunch of new features like unmatched space, comfort, safety and Sturdiness. but, the main attraction is the new Ambassador Grand is BSIV compliant.
The engine of HM Ambassador continues to be the same, 1,817cc petrol Isuzu engine whose power and torque figures are 71Bhp@4800 rpm and 137 Nm@2250 rpm respectively. It will be powered by BS IV-complaint and BS V-ready 1.5 litre and 2 litre diesel as well as petrol engines that are powerful and fuel-efficient. It is matted with a 5-speed manual, all synchromesh with overdrive, dry disc clutch type with a 215 mm clutch diameter.
If you want to buy the new 2011 Ambassador Grand, you will have to shell out close to RS. 6.5 Lakhs on-road, New Delhi for the fully kitted out top end 2011 Ambassador Grand.
Ambassador Grand Interior Features include: 5-Speed gear box, Power steering for easy maneuverability, Power windows, Music System, Moulded Door Pad, Mobile Charger, Spacious Interiors, Digital Trip Meter with multi-trip option, Malfunction Indicator (Engine Check Light).
Ambassador Grand Exterior Features include: Side Indicator with Escutcheon, Rear view mirror, Headlamp with Clear glass, Body colour bumper, Full wheel hub cover, Soft touch door handle and Diamond cut tail lamp.
