As we reported earlier, Garware Motors is planning to launch South Korean motorcycle brand Hyosung in India once again. Now, it has been confirmed that Pune-based company is all set to launch Hyosung GT 650R and ST7 on April 22. According to some reports, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal will grace the launch ceremony.
This will be the second innings of Korean company in the country. In 2003, Hyosung in partnership with Kinetic Motors sold bikes such as the Comet 250cc, Aquila and GF 125 . The partnership, however, did not last long and Kinetic exited the two-wheeler business when it sold off its assets to Mahindra in 2008.
Hyosung GT 650R and ST7 have been assembled at Garware Hyosung’s Wai plant in Maharashtra from CKD kits and it is the main reason of its cheaper price than other same power and feature loaded CBU bikes. Hyosung GT 650R will be available in two variants like one colour and other in multi colour. It’s one body colour variant will be available with price tag of Rs. 4.6 lakh while multi colour variant will be priced at Rs. 5.4 lakh at ex-showroom New Delhi.
Hyosung ST7 cruiser will be available with price tag of Rs. INR 5.9 lakh. Already the booking for the bikes has been started at Rs. 50,000. The bikes will also be available through a financing scheme at all Garware-Hyosung dealerships with a initial down payment of Rs. 1 Lakh.
