2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift Launch Delayed

Some bad news for the car buyers who were eagerly waiting for the launch of next generation 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift. The recent 13-day labour strike at Maruti’s Manesar plant has affected the production of Maruti Suzuki’s Swift, Dzire and SX4 models. So, the company has decided to postponed the launch of 2011 Maruti Swift by three long months. The car was expected to launch in July 2011 earlier.

While the new version of Suzuki Swift  launched last year in Europe, it is yet to be launched in India. According to some rumours, the new Swift will be equipped with powerful and fuel economic 1.3L petrol engine based on VVT-I technology whereas the diesel variant will be equipped with 1.3L diesel multijet engine.

But, this could be a blessing in disguise for India’s largest car maker, as the new Swift will now come out in the Festive Season of Diwali, which is considered the best period to launch any new car.

This delay in launch may also mean some loss of buyers to other cars and other brands which are readily available for delivery. Toyota’s Liva hatchback will be available in the from June 27th. Honda Siel Cars India is also launching its Brio very soon.
