As reported earlier, Toyota Kirloskar Motors today launched an updated version of Corolla Altis sedan in the market. The price for petrol version of 2011 Corolla Altis varies from Rs 10.53 lakh to Rs 14.77 lakh and the diesel variant price goes from Rs 11.46 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh (all prices Ex-showroom Delhi).
The car was launched at an official function organized at Grand Hotel, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi by Hiroshi Nakagawa, Managing Director and Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
“Since the launch of the first Corolla in India in 2003, we have been getting very good response for the car. So far we have sold 70,000 units of the car across the country,” Toyota Kirloskar Motor Managing Director Hiroshi Nakagawa said at the event.
The company sold 10,400 units of Corolla Altis in 2010, and is expecting to sell 11,500 units this year.
The new Corolla Altis will come with a 1,798 cc engine and will now deliver 138bhp, 7bhp more than the earlier model. The updated Altis now is equipped with new gearbox options; the 5-speed manual is now replaced by a new 6-speed unit while the top-end automatic version gets a new 7-speed CVT unit. Diesel models will feature the same 6-speed manual gearbox.
ARAI fuel efficiency figures for the petrol and diesel variants are 15.22 kmpl and 21.45 kmpl respectively.
The facelifted model now comes with new set of headlamps, refreshed grille and bumper, updated rear lamps. The interiors now feature darker mock wood trim.
