British iconic car brand Land Rover, which is owned by our very own Tata Motors, is planning to launch its much awaited Range Rover Evoque SUV in India next year. The beautiful car will be first show-cased at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. According some sources, the car will be imported a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and will likely be priced in the Rs. 40-50 lakh price range.
The new Range Rover Evoque, a model designed as a means to tap into a new segment of the market which is based on the LRX concept.The Range Rover Evoque (both 3 door and 5 door) will come with two engine variants, a gorgeous 2.0 litre petrol engine that makes a healthy 237 bhp and a larger 2.2 litre diesel engine. The 2.2 litre diesel engine comes with further variants, one that produces 148 bhp and a meatier variant that produces 187 bhp of maximum power.
Range Rover Evoque is a bit different than the usual Range Rovers, the Evoque packs the same technologies which made the brand what it is today. The vehicle comes equipped with a new Adaptive Dynamics technology which uses advanced MagneRide continuously variable dampers, being capable of a wider operating range.
The stunning Range Rover Evoque will compete with likes of the Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUV and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado all of which have drawn in a decent number of buyers in the country.
