German supercar maker Porsche has just released some must-watch video of the new 2012 Porsche 911 undergoing final testing in South Africa. Just few days back we reported some new details on the model which came from a leaked Car & Driver report as the magazine was covering the 911 development team in South Africa.
2012 Porsche 911 comes with 3.4-liter engine, direct-injected flat-six from the Boxster S with 350 horsepower at 6400 rpm and max torque of 280 pound-feet between 4400 and 6000 rpm. The Carrera S meanwhile gets the 3.8-liter flat-six with direct injection tuned to make 400 horsepower at 7200 rpm.
Acceleration times will drop slightly, while the new car is expected to post improved fuel economy numbers by as much as 15 percent. Porsche has even boasted the new 911 Carrera can lap the Nurburgring in 8:04, with the Carrera S running the Green Hell in 7:50.
