Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan has got a brand new Rolls Royce Ghost for himself. The ‘Perfectionist Khan’ registered his car at Satara RTO Office last Saturday and got MH 11 AX 1 as its registration number plate. The deputy officer at the RTO, V. R. Gujarathi, confirmed that the Rolls Royce was owned by the actor, and that he had requested for a number 1 registration for his car.
According to sources in the Satara RTO, the car was imported from UK by Navneet Motors for Rs 1.22 crores. Customs Duty was calculated around Rs 1.41 crore, on which the RTO charged Rs 47.57 lakhs as tax, apart from the additional Rs 3 lakhs for the requested number. Summed up, the overall cost of the Rolls Royce comes to INR 3.11 crore.
The Rolls Royce has been registered in the name of Advital Post Studios Ltd, with a Mahabaleshwar taluka address, a property that Aamir bought about five years ago. According to sources from the RTO, Satara is the preferred destination for registering cars because of the availability of getting the number 1 registration plate. Another reason is that, the city’s registration number is also MH 11.
Rolls Royce Ghost Special feature-
Rolls Royce Ghost has a special silver coated bonnet, and broad grill. The engine fitted into this car is a 6,592cc twin turbo charged V 12, 8 speed automatic ZF gear box. It pickups a speed of 60 miles in 4.7 seconds time and 100 kilometers speed in 4.9 seconds. Maximum speed of this car is 250 kilometers.
Panorama Sun roof can be selected to let the natural light enter into the car. Front, rear and roof top focusing cameras are useful in the night time also. These send warning signals if the route is deviated.
Suspension system which is provided in the four corners of the car senses each little change. The seats are adjusted according to the movement of the person sitting at the back seats.
9.2” LCD screens 600 watt sound out put through 16 speakers and 2 sub woofers are fitted at the back of the front seats. Interiors of the car will be designed as per the tastes of the customer.
