Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal’s ‘Club Lap’ have been selected to host post event entertainment during the inaugural Indian F1 Grand Prix. The race event is scheduled on 28-30 October 2011 at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. Previously, Arjun Rampal and fashion model wife Mehr Jesia’s firm managed the IPL Nights show which were booted out from last season.
“Hi all some good news @laptheclub will be hosting all the formula1 parties happening at the Buddh circuit in greater Noida,” wrote Rampal on Twitter. “Yes I have seen the track at the Buddh circuit, India will be proud, it’s going to be one of the fastest tracks ever, an average speed of 260,” further wrote the actor.
“It is true that we will be putting together the after-parties for the Indian Grand Prix at the resort where most of the who’s who of the world and the motor racing fraternity will be residing. A formal press conference will be held soon giving all the details. Rest assured it will be the most spectacular experience that India has ever seen,” Rampal told media in a statement.
“We have toiled hard to build one of the best racing circuits in the world and brought the most exciting, glamorous motor sport F1 racing to India. Now we are associating with Arjun Rampal and (restaurateur) AD Singh to showcase to the world that whatever we do, we do it the best. The evenings (parties) at the Jaypee Resort would be the place to be during the Race weekend,” Sameer Gaur, CEO of Jaypee Sports International, owner of the Buddh International Circuit, which is hosting the Indian GP, said.
