Hero MotoCorp Unveils New Logo, Appoints Ranbir Kapoor As Brand Ambassador

India’s largest two wheeler maker, Hero MotoCorp (formerly known as Hero-Honda) has unveiled its new logo and brand identity in a lavish ceremony in London, England, in the presence of stars such as Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Akon. As we reported earlier, the company has also roped in actor Ranbir Kapoor as its Brand ambassador and has also rolled out a new anthem, composed by Oscar-winning artist, A.R Rahman. The new brand campaign is slated to be launched on 15th August.

“So far all our good products have been credited to Honda. Now we will show the world our strength,” said BM Munjal, Chairman, Hero Group at the unveiling. The new identity of the company, not only marks the end of 26 year old partnership of Munjal family and Japan’s Honda Motor but also establishes, Hero group as the biggest sole entity in the country’s two wheeler market.

As we reported earlier, re-designing the brand identity including the brand architecture, name, logo and positioning has been accomplished by Wolff Olins, a global brand & innovation specialist and a part of the Omnicom group.

The new logo for Hero Motocorp has the word Hero with a capital H, and rest of the letters in lowercase.  The brand identity adorns red and black colours over a white background. The logo also comprises of a triangle, a parallelogram and a trapezoid as its part which together form the ‘H’ representing Hero in 3D.
