Honda India To Double Monthly Production By November

Honda Siel Car India is planning to double its production output by the month of November 2011 as the company getting ready to launch its small car Honda Brio next month. It is planning to produce 10,000 units per month. Honda launched facelifted Jazz in Indian market yesterday for the price of Rs 5.5 Lakh.

Honda Siel Cars India is expecting to restoration of components supply which was affected by a natural calamity in Japan earlier this year. The company’s production at its Greater Noida factory stood at about 5,000 units per month before the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The upgradation will take the output to 120,000 units per annum. Presently, about 60,000 cars are being produced against an installed capacity of 100,000 units.

Honda India will carry on with a lower level of production of about 4000 units till the month of November this year. This low level of production could possibly lead to a hike in the waiting period of its car models, including Honda City, Honda Jazz and Honda Brio.
