The Etios sedan and Liva hatchback has doing wonders for Toyota Motors. The Japanese car maker’s Indian subsidiary Toyota Kirloskar Motor registered 98.89 per cent jump in its sales in July 2011. The company almost doubled its sales to 13,592 units as against 6,834 units in the corresponding month in 2010, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.
“The month of July has seen an impressive growth indicative of growing volumes and increasing sales of Toyota vehicles in India. The customer response to Etios and Etios Liva has been very good,” TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said. The company sold 4,095 units of Etios and 2,551 units of Liva last month, he added.
