Autocar India has managed some spy photos of upcoming facelifted Chevrolet Captiva. The 2012 Captiva was being tested in Manali. According to some reports, the car will be launched in India by early next year and expected to cost Rs 17.96 lakh to Rs 18.68 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Looking at the photos, one can easily make out the difference from old version as new Captiva sports an aggressive look and an oversized grille. After Beat and Cruze, the Captiva has come up with this new grille design which has become a trademark of sort of Chevrolet.
The overall front look, which includes restyled headlamps, is somewhat similar to the Mitsubishi Outlander. There are some subtle changes to the interiors as well, Autocar India reports.
The facelifted Captiva will sport a new 184bhp, 2.2-litre motor which will help improve refinement levels and power delivery.
Chevrolet claims that the 2012 Captiva has improved the interiors to reduce the engine as well as road noise on the move. For instance, the engine has a new hydraulic mounting that reduces vibrations at idle speeds and the engine sound intensity is less by 3db (decibels) than the current model. Further, a new sealing package reduces the wind noise around it.
