Hero MotoCorp Sales Grows 18% In August

India’s largest two wheeler maker, Hero MotoCorp, earlier called Hero Honda, reported 18.61 per cent jump in its August 2011 sales. The company achieved 5 lakh units sales mark for the fifth time in a row this financial year. It has sold 503,654 units of two-wheelers in August this year compare to 4,24,617 units in the corresponding month last year.

The cumulative sales of Hero MotoCorp between April to August this year has now crossed the 2.5 million milestone – a growth of 21% per cent over 2,086,342 units sold in the same period last year. This has set the company well on course to meet the initial target of six million volume sales in the fiscal year 2011-12.

“August has been a memorable and exciting month for us. We created a new name, identity and positioning, and have begun to build the company’s new brand architecture… We are thrilled with the response to our new brand identity and campaign,” Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.

“Going forward, our strategy is to make sure that we continue to delight and surprise our customers and stakeholders in the true spirit of “Hum Mein Hai Hero”. We are thrilled with the response to our new brand identity and campaign. The August sales performance has set the pace for the exciting festive season ahead of us as we look to ride our present buoyancy,” he added.
