Audi Continues Its Upward Sales Growth In September

German luxury car maker, Audi, continues its good performance in India in the month of September too. Audi India registered a 84 per cent growth last month. The company sold 555 cars in September 2011, compare to 302 units sold in the corresponding month of 2010. The luxury carmaker’s sales figure from January to September 2011 stood at 4210 cars, a growth of 93 per cent over the same period last year (January – September 2010) when it sold 2178 cars.

Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India said, “We attribute this phenomenal growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand pull. We launched six class-defining models this year and are focused at strengthening our dealership network not only in metros, but also in tier II & tier III cities.”

“Our flagship, the Audi A8L, which was launched early this year, received an overwhelming response, as expected, and we are confident that it will continue to set benchmarks in automotive excellence like it has been doing the world over,” he added.

Audi India strengthened their ‘A’ range of limousines with the launch of its design marvel, the Audi A7 Sportback in May and with the recent launch of the seventh generation Audi A6 they have further consolidated their position in India. Audi are already market leaders in the luxury SUV segment with its Q5 and Q7 and in the super sports car segment with the iconic R8.

Audi is the No.1 premium car brand in Europe and in China and the fastest growing luxury car brand in USA and India. The Audi model range in India includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi RS5 Coupe, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder.
