The world’s largest two wheeler maker by volume, Hero MotoCorp, continues to dominate Indian market even after its split from Honda Motorcycles. The company recorded its highest ever monthly sales of 5,49,625 units in September registering a growth of 26.75 per cent. It had sold 4,33,641 units in the same month last year, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.
This was the third month in a row when the company reported sales of over 5 lakh units. For the July-September period, the company’s sales increased 20.09 per cent to 15,44,315 units from 12,85,944 units in the year-ago period, the statement said.
Anil Dua, senior vice-president (marketing and sales), Hero MotoCorp, said, “We have been able to maintain strong growth since the formation of our new company and also expect the same momentum to continue in the festive season of October and November.”
“We continue to progress on our growth trajectory this year and September sales have added a new milestone to our journey. Sales have been regularly in excess of half a million two-wheelers per month, setting the pace for our continued leadership,” he added.
