The largest two wheeler maker in India, Hero MotoCorp, will soon start selling Impulse at the price of Rs 66,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hero Impule will be the first ’Hero’ branded bike to be launched after the break-up with its long time partner Honda Motors. The bike was unveiled in August this year in London along with company’s new brand identity.
“The Impulse is the first bike from us which will be sold only under the Hero brand. We have already started dispatches and it will soon be available at showrooms in metros and Tier-I cities,” Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.
At this price, the Impulse is only slightly pricier than the rest of the 150cc motorcycles. But, it is dual purpose bike that can be used for both normal commuting as well as off-road adventure.
Hero Impulse is powered by a 149.2cc, single cylinder, carbureted air-cooled engine that makes, 13.8 bhp of max power and 13.6 Nm of max torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. From the looks of it, the Impulse looks to be based on the 150cc, Honda NXR 150 Bros.
