Mahindra Increase Production Of Yuvraj 215 Tractors

The top selling tractor brand in teh world, Mahindra & Mahindra, announced on Thursday that it has increased the production of Yuvraj 215 tractors at its Shapar plant in Rajkot, from 1,800 units to 2,500 units per year. The tractor was launched in Maharashtra in April this year.

Anand Mahindra, vice chairman and managing director of the M&M group, said while rolling out the 13,636th Yuvraj 215 at the plant that “after getting a wide response from various parts of the country the company has scaled up the capacity from 1,800 tractors to 2,500 per year.”

Bishambhar Mishra, CEO, M&M said, “Yuvraj215 has been very successful since its inception.” The tractor is useful for the farmers who hold 2 to 5 acres of land, he said.

Yuvraj 215 promises a top speed of 25.6 kmph and haulage capacity of 1.5-tonne. The tractor is being manufactured at the company’s Rajkot facility with a production capacity of 16,000 tractors per annum.
