Bajaj Auto To Launch KTM Duke 200 On 24th January

Indian motorcycle lovers were quite disappointed after Bajaj Auto‘s no show at recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The company was supposed to show all new Pulsar along with long awaited KTM Duke 200. But, here is some consolation! According to an announcement made by Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto, KDM Duke 200 will be launched on 24th January in New Delhi.

“The bike is already exported to Europe so in terms of production its already something that is in process,” Rajiv Bajaj said. KTM President Stefan Pierer will come down for the launch, he added.

KTM Duke 200 is powered by 199.6 cc, four-stroke, Single cylinder, liquid cooled, 4 Valve DOHC engine which generates maximum power of 25.47 bhp (19 KW) @ 10,000 rpm and maximum torque of 19.93Nm (14.7 foot-pound) @ 6,800 rpm.

The bike is very light weight and generates power to weight ratio of 200bhp/ton (Dry Weight).  It has Chromium-Molybdenum trellis frame with steel sub frame, Bosh fuel injection system and a compact three chamber silencer. KTM Duke 200cc has top notch quality parts with a high performance engine.

KTM Duke 200 compete with Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR250R.
