December 2011 Sales: Mahindra Registers 26% Growth

Mahindra & Mahindra has recorded a 26 per cent hike in its auto sales, which stood at 42,761 units during December 2011 as against 34,062 units during December 2010. Despite industry slowdown and rising input costs, the company’s domestic sales stood at 39,891 units during last month, as against 32,546 units during same month of last year, an increase of 23 per cent.

The 4-wheeler commercial segment which includes the passenger and load categories has registered a growth of 35 per cent at 13,757 units. The passenger vehicles segment registered sales of 19,341 units in Dec’11, a 24 per cent growth against 15,601 units in Dec’10.

Speaking on the numbers, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “We are delighted with the 26 per cent growth in December, thanks to the great all round performance of all our brands. We thank our customers for their support and loyalty and wish them a prosperous new year”.
