Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India today launched an advanced version of its scooter Dio priced at Rs 42,362 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Dio comes with advanced 110cc engine with global moto-styling, instead of earlier 102cc engine.
The new Dio is powered by the identical 110cc engine that powers the Honda Activa and Aviator scooters. It develops 8bhp at 7,500rpm (1bhp more than the outgoing model) and 0.88kgm of torque at 5,500rpm. The motor is equipped with the latest cutting-edge technologies that help the Dio achieve a mileage of 55kpl, up by 15 percent than the earlier Dio.
Honda Dio has become the first automatic scooter ofIndiathat has been rolled out with tubeless tyres. Other features includes increased leg space and a wider seat for a comfortable ride experience.
New Honda Dio comes in five exciting colours namely Matt Axis Grey metallic, Leblon Violet metallic, Candy Palm Green, Sports Red and Pearl Sunbeam White.
Honda Dio would be available in all the showrooms of Honda Exclusive Authorized Dealerships by the end of February 2012.
