Tata Motors has introduced its small wonder Nano with a more powerful engine and new features, while keeping the prices same. The company claimed the car’s mileage has been improved to 25.4 km per litre, up from existing 23.6 km per litre, certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
“Making the Tata Nano even more desirable, the car’s 624cc engine has been made more powerful, delivering an impressive 38 PS of power (earlier 35 PS) and 51 Nm of torque (earlier 48 Nm),” Tata Motors said in a statement.
Tata Nano shall continue to be available at existing prices. Ex-showroom (Delhi), Nano Standard costs Rs 1.40 lakh, Nano CX Rs 1.70 lakh and Nano LX comes at Rs 1.96 lakh.
New Features:
Booster-assisted brakes and tip-tap mirrors, presently available in Nano CX and Nano LX models, have now been added to the Nano Standard, and a tip-tap mirror can be added as an accessory on the passenger side in the latter (Nano Standard). The steering system is tweaked and takes less muscle to execute a U-Turn.
The interiors are now beige to add to the premium feel with redesigned front headrests. The Nano will be available in 10 new colors: Pearl White, Rouge Red, Aqua Blue, Neon Rush, Serene White, Meteor Silver, Mojito Green, Papaya Orange, Sunshine Yellow, and Champagne Gold.
