Maruti Suzuki Launches New Swift DZire At Rs 4.79 Lakh

The largest car maker in the country, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., today launched new version of its compact sedan Swift DZire. The new car which will be available in both petrol and diesel variants is priced between Rs 4.79 lakh to 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Swift DZire will be produced from the company’s Manesar plant, will compete with Toyota Etios, Hyundai Accent, Tata Indigo CS and Mahindra Verito.

Maruti Suzuki Launches Revamped A-Star

The country’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki, has launched a ‘Spiced Up’ version its compact car A-Star. The new revamped Maruti A-Star with new design bits, interiors and safety features is priced between Rs 3.67 lakh and Rs 4.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The retail sales of the new “spiced-up” A-Star will start from today January 27.

Nissan Hikes Micra, Sunny Prices By Up To Rs 12,000

As announced last month, Nissan Motor India, will increase the prices of its Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan between 0.56 per cent to 2.09 per cent from tomorrow onwards to minimise the the impact of rising input cost and rupee depreciation.

New Maruti Swift DZire To Be Launched In February

After the launch of new Swift hatchback last year, it was inevitable that Maruti Suzuki would come with new Swift DZire, too. The company has confirmed that it will launch a more compact version of DZire in February. Although the new model is sub-4-metres in length, qualifying for less for the excise duty of 10% enjoyed by small cars, it is unlikely that the new version of DZire will be priced lesser than the existing one, which ranges between Rs 4.94 lakh and Rs 7.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Hyundai Launches Three New Eon Variants With LPG Options

Hyundai Motor India has launched three new variants of its small car Eon – ‘D-Lite+’, ‘Era+’ and ‘Magna+’ – which will be costlier by up to Rs 7,000 from the existing versions. The new variants will be available with LPG options, too, which are priced around Rs 27,000 higher, the company said in a statement.

Auto Expo 2012: Toyota Launches New Prius At Rs 27.39 Lakh

Japanese car maker Toyota launched a new version of its hybrid sedan Prius in India at Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The third generation Prius is priced between Rs 27.39 lakh and Rs 29.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Toyota Kirloskar Motor also launched facelifted Innova and Fortuner at the Auto Expo.

Auto Expo 2012: Renault Launches Pulse, Showcase Duster

French automaker Renault entered mass segment in India with the launch of Pulse hatchback at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Pulse, a mildly altered version of Nissan Micra, is priced at between Rs 5.77 lakh and Rs 6.25 lakh (exshowroom Delhi). The company also unveiled a crossover Duster which would be launched before Diwali in the domestic market.

Auto Expo 2012: BMW M5 Launched In India

German car-maker BMW launched its M5 luxury sedan in the Indian market at Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The car is priced at Rs 95.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model can be now ordered as a completely built-up unit (CBU) across more than 20 dealerships in the country.

Auto Expo 2012: DC Design Launches ‘Avanti’ Sports Car

India’s premier automobile design firm, DC Design, launched country’s first ever sports car, the DC Avanti at Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Avanti, unveiled by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, will be produced from 2013, with initial production of 300 units, the company said.
