Hyundai had Record Sales in the UK, 57,391 cars sold

Hyundai had record sales in UK , company has managed to sell 57,391 units yet. Hyundai expecting the 62,000 unit sell by the end of 2010. In 2009 company sell 56,927 unit, in the ratio firms gets almost 9 percent over the previous year. The most popular model is i10 city car, which 22,208 found new owners then i30 with 14,302 and the i20 with 12,113.

Hyundai i20 crossed 2.5 lakh units sales

Today Hyundai Motor India reporting the Premium Hatchback i20 crossed the 2.5 lakh units sales from it’s launch in December 2008. This is the very proud movement to Hyundai India. Over 92,000 units have been sold in the India only, and nearly 1.68 units in overseas which are exported. The i20 is very popular car in Indian market for it’s classy ride and advanced features.

Hyundai Avante In India By December

Hyundai will launch its mid-range sedan Avante in Indian market by the December of this year. Hyundai Avante will be available for around Rs. 12 Lakh which will comfortably fit between the new Verna RB and the Sonata YF. It was premiered in South Korea a few months ago and shortly went on sale there. Hyundai Avante will be the first big launch of the company in India after Hyundai i20 CDRi.

Hyundai sign joint venture with China’s Sichuan Nanjun Automotive Group

Today Hyundai Motor reported that, Hyundai signed $443.1 million’s  joint venture with China’s commercial vehicle maker Sichuan Nanjun Automotive Group. This will be 50-50 % joint venture  and aims to sell 90,000 commercial vehicles in 2011 and 300,000 units in 2015. It’s expected top China’s commercial vehicle market is grow to 5.5 million units in 2015, from 4.5 million units this year, Hyundai Motor said in a statement.

Hyundai unveiled 2011 Hyundai Equus

Today Hyundai unveiled the new 2011 Hyundai Equus luxury sedan. New Hyundai Equus build on platform of Genesis sedan, the only difference is the new Equus 7.2 inches longer. The new 2011 is powered by 4.6-liter V8 engine which produce massive 385 HP. this raw power supplied to rear with 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual control.New Hyundai  Equus luxury sedan that will go on sale this December with cost of $58,000 and top-end version Equus Ultimate cost around $64,500.

2011 Hyundai Sonata Gets five-star crash rating

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives five-star crash rating to new 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The new 2011 Sonata comes with a wide range of standard safety features like ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake-force distribution) and Brake Assist, which offers maximum braking force when a panic stop is detected.NHTSA ratings now evaluate side pole crash testing, as well as consider crash-preventing technologies. In addition to that, the tests also use female dummies for the first time, simulating crash scenarios that involve women, not just men.

Hyundai admitting that the 2011 Sonata Turbo tune-up is inspired by Ferrari, Mercedes and Porsche models.The all new 2011 Sonata turbo is set for the SEMA show at Las Vegas this November.Hyundai has teamed up with RIDES and 0-60 magazines to trick out the 274-horsepower-strong saloon.

Hyundai supply cars for UK Police department

British police department ends deal with the Ford and preferred Hyundai car for the department. Earlier UK Police used Ford cars. But now the National Association of Police Fleet Managers has also awarded the status of ‘preferred supplier’ to Hyundai this year. This permits the police force of UK to purchase Hyundai make vehicles in all their future requirements.

Tata Motors To Hike The Price Of Indica and Indigo

From October 1, 2010 the price will be raised for Tata Indica and Indigo. Tata motor raised the price schedule for this two model’s. Both the model’s performed well in market. It seems like Tata motor following the Hyundai Motors which has already increased price for its certain models. Yet company has not said any official word about this.

Hyundai to launch second electric car in 2011

hyundai logo picsSouth Korea’s top car-maker, Hyundai Motor, is thinking about launching its second pure electric car next year. The company is looking to make a small SUV in association with its partner Kia Motors. Last week Hyundai unveiled its first pure electric car, BlueOn, which is based on its i10 hatchback, which will be rolled out in Korea this year. Hong John-hee, director of Hyundai Motor’s Electric Vehicle Development Group stated that they plan to produce 2,000 electric vehicles based on Kia’s upcoming cross utility vehicles (CUVs), and 500 BlueOns by 2012.
