As announced last month, Nissan Motor India, will increase the prices of its Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan between 0.56 per cent to 2.09 per cent from tomorrow onwards to minimise the the impact of rising input cost and rupee depreciation.

Nissan India’s production facility in Oragadam, Chennai, which is jointly run by Renault India, has rolled out 1,00,000th Micra. The Japanese giant launched its Micra hatchback in the country in July last year.

The new compact car will be a entry level hatchback that will positioned below Micra which is priced above Rs. 4 lakh. December 20th, 2010 Abhijeet.S Nissan Motor Co on Monday unveiled the all-new global sedan model at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition. The new saloon will be called as Sunny in China and some other countries. It will go on sale first in China in January 2011 and then progressively across 170 countries worldwide under different vehicle brand names. The All-new Sunny Sedan, which is the second model to be built on Nissan’s versatile ‘V’ platform, will be launched in India in the second half of 2011 and will be manufactured at the company’s plant at Oragadam, near Chennai.
Nissan Faces Minor Fault In Exported Micras
December 15th, 2010 Abhijeet.S Nissan India’s hugely successful car, Micra, has been exported to European countries from its Chennai plant. Recently, some cars were faced with a glitch on arrival at its European venue. The glitch, which resulted in a mild noise from pump area while idling, was detected in some cars while they were being tested on arrival in Europe, prompting the company to take immediate corrective measures. But, the company has clarified that the car has not been recalled.
