Abhijeet.S According to a top official from the company, Nissan Motor India will begin the export of its entry level sedan Sunny from March this year. The Japanese company currently produces hatchback Micra & Sunny at its Oragadam near Chennai manufacturing facility which is jointly owned by French automaker Renault.
January 19th, 2012 kalpesh As announced last month, Nissan Motor India, will increase the prices of its Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan between 0.56 per cent to 2.09 per cent from tomorrow onwards to minimise the the impact of rising input cost and rupee depreciation.

Prices of the Sunny diesel variant will not be increased, as it was launched yesterday only.

The car will be available in two variants with Sunny Diesel XL priced at Rs 7.98 lakh whereas Sunny Diesel XV is available for a price of 8.78 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi).
October 3rd, 2011 Abhijeet.S Nissan Motor India is planning to export its recently launched Sunny sedan to West Asia and Africa from early 2012, a company official informed. The company feels that the region has great potential for these kind of cars. Nissan Sunny is the company’s second locally made model after Micra hatchback which was launched in October 2010.

September 13th, 2011 kalpesh Japanese car maker Nissan is launching Sunny sedan, its second vehicle in Indian market after hatchback Micra, on September 20th. The car will be rolled out from Nissan-Renault’s joint manufacturing facility at Oragadam, near Chennai where production has begun from last month.

Now we have reports that the company celebrated the start of production of its ‘Made-in-India’ mid-size sedan Nissan Sunny at the its manufacturing plant at Oragadam, near Chennai. This is the second completely made in India car to be rolled out after Micra hatchback by Nissan from the Chennai plant in a period of 15 months.

The tenth generation Nissan Sunny is based on the popular V (Versatile) platform, the same as the one used in the Nissan Micra.
