Tata Motors Global Sales Up 27% In December

Abhijeet.S Tata Motors‘ global vehicle wholesales rose an annual 27 per cent in December 2011, the company said in a statement. The growth is mainly driven by strong sales of its passenger cars and luxury Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. The company sold were 114,920 units in last month compare to 90,294 units in December 2010. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 865,400 higher by 12 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2010-11.

The company is planning to set up 22 exclusive showrooms for Fiat cars this year, primarily in big cities, Economic Times reported. Tata Motors To Replace Starter Motor Of 1.4 Lakh Nanos

Tata Motors has decided to replace the starter motor of an estimated 1.40 lakh Nano free-of-cost. Intensely denying this is a recall, the company said it is changing the old starter motor with a new and ‘better’ one, an exercise that will reportedly to cost the firm around Rs 110 crore.

Abhijeet.S Indian automobile giant Tata Motors reported a 35 per cent increase in its global sales in November 2011 compare to the same period last year. The company sold 1,08,028 units last month as against 79,959 units it sold in November 2010.
