January 16th, 2012 Abhijeet.S Tata Motors‘ global vehicle wholesales rose an annual 27 per cent in December 2011, the company said in a statement. The growth is mainly driven by strong sales of its passenger cars and luxury Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. The company sold were 114,920 units in last month compare to 90,294 units in December 2010. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 865,400 higher by 12 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2010-11.
Tata eMO EV Concept Unveiled At Detroit
January 12th, 2012 Abhijeet.S Tata Technologies showed its engineering power when it displayed a $20,000 electric car – eMO EV concept – at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show. The four-passenger Tata eMO, short for electric mobility, is described as an “engineering study” designed to show that Tata Technologies has “an understanding of developed markets.”

January 4th, 2012 Abhijeet.S Concerned over its poor performance in Indian market, Italian auto maker Fiat, is all set to completely exit joint-branded showrooms with Tata Motors. The company is planning to set up 22 exclusive showrooms for Fiat cars this year, primarily in big cities, Economic Times reported. Fiat India launched upgraded versions of its existing Linea and Punto models yesterday.

Tata Motors has decided to replace the starter motor of an estimated 1.40 lakh Nano free-of-cost. Intensely denying this is a recall, the company said it is changing the old starter motor with a new and ‘better’ one, an exercise that will reportedly to cost the firm around Rs 110 crore.
