Abhijeet.S If a report in AutocarIndia is to be believed, then Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour will have a new competitor in the country. Recently crowned largest selling car maker in the world, General Motors, is planning to launch Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV in India.
January 23rd, 2012 Abhijeet.S General Motor’s new MPV which was unveiled at recently held Delhi Auto Expo 2012 will be called Chevrolet Enjoy, Autocar India reported. The car will be the first product to be launched in India from GM’s partnership with Chinese Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) and Liuzhou Wuling Motors. General Motors India will launch the new MPV in mid-2012 which is based upon Wuling CN-100.
January 23rd, 2012 Abhijeet.S The popular Italian car maker, Fiat S.p.A. is thinking about launching Chrysler brand in India very soon to increase Fiat’s presence in the country. The company which is largest share holder of US car maker Chrysler, may bring Chrysler’s cult SUV- Jeep. Fiat is also planning to launch its own premium brand Alfa Romeo.

The company has confirmed that it will launch a more compact version of DZire in February. Although the new model is sub-4-metres in length, qualifying for less for the excise duty of 10% enjoyed by small cars, it is unlikely that the new version of DZire will be priced lesser than the existing one, which ranges between Rs 4.94 lakh and Rs 7.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The production of the car will start in the second half of the current calendar year. Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd plans to sell 30,000 cars in the next three years, chief technology officer Chetan Maini said at the Auto Expo.
