Abhijeet.S Volkswagen AG may this year complete the purchase of the 50.1 percent of Porsche SE’s automotive business that it does not already own for 3.9 billion euros, Bloomberg reported. VW will get around having to pay more than 1 billion euros in taxes if completing the purchase before 2014 by setting up a holding company to temporarily take control of the stake, the report added.
January 20th, 2012 Abhijeet.S General Motors Company has retaken the title of world’s top-selling automaker, selling just over 9 million cars and trucks across the globe. The company said on Thursday that it sold 9.03 million vehicles worldwide last year, up 7.6 percent from 2010. That’s more than 1 million better than Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp., which took the title away from GM in 2008.

No Comments » November 21st, 2011 kalpesh Suzuki Motor Corp and estranged partner Volkswagen seemed headed for arbitration, after VW refused again to sell its 20 percent stake back to the Japanese carmaker and put a floundering two-year alliance out of its misery.
October 17th, 2011 Abhijeet.S Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corp. has served Volkswagen with a notice of breach of contract, demanding the German company give it access to key technologies within weeks. Unless it does so, Suzuki’s biggest shareholder must sell back its stake and quit the alliance, the company said.

Volkswagen has revealed not one, not two, but five concept models of its compact car- Up! at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. The five versions includes a Gran Turismo, crossover and all-electric concepts.
September 15th, 2011 Abhijeet.S German auto giant Volkswagen has unveiled a sporty Volkswagen Beetle R concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car, described by VW as the ‘sportiest Beetle ever’, features customised front and rear sections and rides on 20-inch alloys.
